This is part one of our Back to School series, where we’ll share resources and tips on how to further your education through different Company programs and opportunities. Check back next week for part two!
Have you always wanted to go back to school to earn a degree or expand your skills?
Mohawk’s Tuition Reimbursement Program helps you open doors to opportunity through continuing education. Employees interested in seeking tuition reimbursement or educational assistance should visit their Human Resources Department to learn more about the program. Human Resources will work with employees to verify eligibility based on tenure and that the employees’ course of study is appropriate to their current or potential role within the organization.
Check out the programs below, and visit the Tuition Reimbursement section of mymohawkbenefits.com or speak to your HR representative to learn more:
General Education Development (GED) Program
For team members seeking to obtain a GED certification, reimbursement for tuition and the cost of the GED exam will be approved. As an incentive, the Company will provide a $100 savings bond to those associates who successfully obtain their GED certificate.
Continuing Education Program & Certificate Programs
Requests to participate in continuing education courses or certificate programs that will enhance current job skills will be approved on a case-by-case basis by department management with input from the Human Resources Department to ensure consistency.
Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
If you want to work towards a college degree, Mohawk offers tuition reimbursement for these courses as well. For a course or program to be approved, you must submit your request for tuition assistance before taking the course and receive approval to qualify for reimbursement.
You may request reimbursement for tuition and, where applicable, activity fees, textbook expenses, or other academically related charges where you incurred out-of-pocket expenses when the course has been successfully completed.
