New Email Security Solution

This month, Mohawk Industries will transition from the current email security tool (Mimecast) to a new Cisco Email Security platform (IronPort).

What is it?

IronPort stops phishing emails, business email compromise, ransomware and spam, while enhancing Microsoft Office 365 email security.

Just as with Mimecast, users will receive daily email digests to access and search their on-hold spam messages. Through a webmail portal, IronPort users can view quarantined messages, release messages for delivery and manage personal “permit” and “block” lists.

When will the changeover happen?

The transition from Mimecast to IronPort will occur in mid- to late April. As Mohawk has different email domains (e.g., email addresses ending in @mohawkind.com, @daltile.com, @marazzigroup.com, etc.), users will begin using the IronPort service when their email domain is migrated to the new solution during that period.

What do Mohawk Industries employees have to do?

No action is required by employees to complete the transition. You will receive an email with additional instructions on how to access the IronPort email security platform the day before your email domain is changed over, and the next day you’ll be able to utilize the new email security system.

On the first day of service, you’ll also receive your first daily email digest from IronPort (if the new system has quarantined any emails).
