Both shifts were recognized for their impressive accomplishment.
The IVC facility in Dalton, GA has several departments that have reached the impressive status of 1000 days with no safety recordables. Recently, the 4 Roll Department joined those ranks thanks to their dedication to a safe and committed work environment.
“For me, this safety accomplishment is a testimony to the team’s dedication to always making safety a priority,” Senior Production Manager John Di Donato said. “They have a lot of integrity and willingness to always do the right thing, which we see through their participation in the Neighborhood Watch program and their focus during our daily pre-shift meetings.”
The team was able to reach this impressive goal even as they were growing with new equipment and team members. With approximately 12 people on each shift and a mixture of tenured and new team members, watching out for one another was key to everyone staying safe.
“We’re always telling our teams that we want them to go home the same way they came in, and that message resonates with people,” John said. “You have to get people to buy into safety, and when you build relationships and show them respect, it lets them know how important their safety is to you, and that gets to the heart of safety culture. The team’s good work and dedication to safety is an inspiration to other teams.”
The facility recognized their accomplishment with a special celebratory breakfast to congratulate the team for their focus on safety for the past 1000 days.
Join us in congratulating IVC’s 4 Roll Department on this impressive accomplishment!
